Cars from the USA for Kazakhstan
We bid on Copart and IAAI, ship to Poti or Batumi port, and hand the car over in Georgia. The car moves in transit: no Georgian excise or VAT, customs clearance happens only in Kazakhstan.
Since 28 September 2026, an individual can import only one car per year for personal use. From 30 December 2026, personal-use imports are allowed only for cars up to 5 years old (from the manufacture date) and Euro-5 or higher. Sole proprietors (ИП) and companies keep the Euro-4 threshold. Read the rules in detail
Shipping a car from the USA to Kazakhstan via Georgia is one of the main routes: according to Geostat, in January–September 2026 more than 21,000 cars were re-exported from Georgia to Kazakhstan — more than to any other country. Poti and Batumi ports receive containers from the USA, and the car then follows the Trans-Caspian route — via Azerbaijan and a ferry to Aktau or Kuryk.
The key advantage is transit: a car bound for Kazakhstan is not cleared through customs in Georgia, so no Georgian excise or VAT is paid. You pay customs only in Kazakhstan.
We buy cars to order on Copart and IAAI and hand them over in Poti or Batumi. From there, a carrier takes the car to the city you need: the first stop in Kazakhstan is usually Aktau or Kuryk, then Atyrau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Astana, Almaty, Shymkent or another city. A US car heading to Almaty or Astana most often travels on a car carrier; customs clearance takes place at a Kazakh customs post or temporary storage warehouse.
There is no fixed price: the total depends on the lot, the auction and the payments in Kazakhstan. We do not publish prices — they go out of date quickly. The final cost consists of:

From 30 December 2026, personal imports are allowed only for cars up to 5 years old by manufacture date and Euro-5 or higher, and excise applies to engines over 3 litres. Recent crossovers and sedans with engines up to 3 litres fit these rules well: Toyota RAV4 and Camry, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester.
