Cars from the USA for Armenia
We bid on Copart and IAAI, ship to Poti or Batumi port, and hand the car over in Georgia. The car moves in transit: no Georgian excise or VAT, customs clearance happens only in Armenia.
Armenia is an EAEU member: customs payments follow the common tariff and depend on the car's age, engine size and who imports it — an individual or a company. Importing right-hand-drive cars has been banned since 2018 — US cars are left-hand drive. Electric car imports are VAT-free until the end of 2026. Customs in detail
For a US car, Georgia is Armenia's natural gateway to the sea: Armenia is landlocked, and Poti and Batumi ports are a few hundred kilometres from Yerevan. This is our shortest route to a neighbouring country — overland, across a single border, with no ferry and no third countries.
A car bound for Armenia is not cleared through customs in Georgia — no Georgian excise or VAT. Clearance happens in Armenia, under the EAEU Common Customs Tariff.
We buy cars to order on Copart and IAAI and hand them over in Poti or Batumi. The car then travels to Armenia — usually via the Sadakhlo — Bagratashen crossing; for buyers from Gyumri and Shirak, Ninotsminda — Bavra may be more convenient, and for Vanadzor and Lori — Guguti — Gogavan. A roadworthy car can be driven across on transit plates, while a damaged one travels on a car carrier.
There is no fixed price: the total depends on the lot, the auction and the payments in Armenia. We do not publish prices — they go out of date quickly. The final cost consists of:

Payments in Armenia depend on age and engine size, so check both before bidding. Right-hand-drive cars have been banned since 2018 — US cars are left-hand drive. Electric cars are VAT-free until the end of 2026 and an EAEU duty-free quota applies (check whether it is still available): this covers, for example, the Tesla Model 3, Hyundai Ioniq and Kia Niro. Among hybrids and petrol cars, US auctions have plenty of Toyota Camry, Prius, RAV4 and Honda CR-V.

Payments follow the EAEU common tariff: the car's age, engine size and who imports it — an individual or a company. For older cars the duty is noticeably higher.

There is no fixed price: it is made up of the lot price and auction fee, delivery to the port and by sea to Poti, transport from Georgia to Armenia and customs clearance in Armenia. An exact calculation for a specific car is free, on request.
